I literally shopped around for a couple of months and me and my wife almost got to the point of simply hiring a company to replaster our diamond brite since none of the companies we contacted were worth hiring. These companies (around 7 to 10) had several negatives like ----- Their pricing was ridiculously high - they were not responsive - they did not have a CPC license (Certified Pool Contractor license) which is rather important and most of them did not have any insurance. When I found JR Pool Pros information, I ended up calling and spoke initially with Andy who was very nice and answered my questions. He set up my initial appointment which at that time was by phone with Jose. I provided photos of my existing pool and deck and explained to him what I was looking for. I indicated that at the very minimum I was going to hire a company to plaster the inside of my pool but I also wanted to see if I could do a full pool renovation including the waterline tile, significantly adjusting the spa which was a plenty of work, replacing the coping, and replacing the deck. My pool was built approximately 18 years ago so I had significant sticker shock when most of the companies were charging pricing that far exceeded what I paid for my pool 18 years ago. I asked Jose if he could work with me on the pricing and he did what he was able to do to help me move forward with a full pool renovation instead of breaking up the job (a company for the inside of the pool and another for the deck). I truly appreciate how he worked with me on the pricing without sacrificing quality. Now let's get to the process & my significant concerns which were all addressed and made me feel very confident that Jose was the obvious choice. I insisted that I wanted to move forward with Artistic Concrete Pavers because over the 18 years my floor was very low maintenance compared to other types of flooring options. We wanted to increase our coping size to 12 x 12 and that was going to be a challenge due to 6 areas of my pool are rounded. Before even signing an agreement, Jose showed me how his coping guy could shape the pavers and brought me a sample that was shaped. This was a very important step which eased my concern that the square shaped 12 x 12 would not be viable for the rounded areas. The coping of my pool was executed impeccably..... Absolute PERFECTION !!! Please note that the Artistic Pavers I chose have shells in them and shaving the edges can be very challenging --- You would never know when you see the final product shaped. Jose's team were extremely professional, clean, responsive, and above all DETAILED. I can confidently say all the above since I work from home and I was looking at the progress of the pool renovation. I was impressed with the entire process --- Demolition & Haul Away --- Coping installation --- Tile installation --- Deck installation and plastering of the inside pool surface. Remember - my SPA was reconfigured (I had 2 sides of the SPA with steps going into the SPA and I found out the hard way that my SPA was not a perfect square on the outside. Jose's Coping & Tile installation team were meticulous and cared about the quality of their work. As I requested, I wanted to remove the 2 steps on the outside of the spa to be removed so that my SPA would not consume too much space from the pool deck. During this process, his team removed the steps and reshaped with concrete and rebar the SPA so that it was finally a perfect square shaped SPA. This detail of being a perfect SQUARE allowed them to lay out the SPA COPING to be symmetrical on all sides. This team also shaped all the pool coping so the coping looks like a RELAXED EDGE (smooth edges but squared shaped). The 6 rounded areas of my pool have very precise cuts of the 12 x 12 and looks great !!! Amazing work is all I can say. The deck installation guys were also very detailed and frankly they did come up with suggestions that worked very well so that small cuts were kept to a minimum. 12 x 24 concrete pavers were installed and NEW DECO DRAIN.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
